The Girl with All the Gifts

I will start this review off by saying This is not a genre I EVER read! If the description of the book had of eluded to what it was really about in any way I would have steered clear. Thank goodness I didn’t. This is the most touching well written book I have read in years. I read this book several years ago and the memory of it and this little girl still lingers in my heart. It took a subject that I always looked at as pure fiction and made it plausible and sad. Highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I’m glad the description is somewhat vague as it will give those like me that would have never picked it up the opportunity for a great reading experience.

I loved everything about this book. It was fast-paced and exciting. It's thought-provoking and believable (despite its theme's obvious improbability). There's good character development and it progresses the story well. The plot idea has a unique spin to it, and the ending was amazing. I am not usually a reader of this genre, but I found myself completely sucked in and addicted.

I didn’t expect thus book to be this good. It was recommended to me by a friend and when I started reading it seemed like a regular zombie book but was I ever wrong. You really begin to connect with the characters and it always kept me guessing. Definitely not what I expected and it’s now one of my all time favourites.
